Overview
Theai_off tag is a global kill switch that immediately stops AI from responding to a contact — even if an Active Tag is present. This gives you full control over when AI should and shouldn’t engage.
For Chat AI
Disable AI
Add the tag
ai_off to the contact in GoHighLevel. The AI will stop responding immediately.For Voice AI
You can use the same tag in voice workflows:- Create a conditional workflow (IVR AI Switch)
- Add a condition: If contact tag does NOT include
ai_off→ Proceed with AI - If contact tag includes
ai_off→ Route to human agent or manual transfer
